Bringing an intangible 'product' to life.

OVERVIEW

In the realm of software solution accelerators, explaining complex and technical concepts to an audience of government agents posed a unique challenge. The goal was to establish trust and credibility by demonstrating that our solution was real, backed by tangible results, and not merely a conceptual or non-existent software product. As the lead designer, I brought this vision to life through a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach.

The Challenge

Public sector solution accelerators are inherently technical and abstract. For government agents, understanding their utility and value required a clear, engaging narrative.

The key challenges included:

  • Translating complex, technical content into user-friendly and accessible messaging.
  • Developing cohesive, multi-channel materials to support go-to-market efforts.
  • Collaborating with a third-party development team to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Aligning content and design to resonate across web, print, and video platforms.

My Role(s)

I embraced a variety of responsibilities that required versatility and adaptability across different design disciplines:

  • Design Direction: Shaping the overall visual identity and narrative strategy.
  • Web Design: Designing a responsive and user-friendly landing page.
  • Quality Assurance: Leading testing to ensure a flawless user experience.
  • Motion Design: Animating a video to visually break down technical concepts.
  • Graphic Design: Creating cohesive visual elements for various mediums.
  • Information Design: Structuring content to be digestible and engaging.
  • Print Design: Designing conference handouts and a pitch deck.
  • Social Media Management: Crafting and scheduling posts to amplify campaign reach and drive traffic to the landing page.

The Solution

To address the challenges of making an abstract, intangible product relatable and engaging, I co-developed a multi-faceted strategy that spanned digital, motion, and print design, ensuring cohesive messaging and a user-centric experience across all platforms.

  1. Landing Page
I designed a visually compelling and intuitive landing page as the cornerstone of the project. I leveraged simplified messaging and supporting digital materials to enhance engagement and de-mistfy complex concepts. Collaborating with developers, I ensured precise implementation and led quality assurance testing.

  2. Explainer Video
A motion graphic video simplified complex ideas through relatable visuals and dynamic animations, serving as a versatile tool for the landing page and conferences.

  3. Supporting Materials
I developed complementary assets, including a polished pitch deck, case study PDFs, conference handouts, and social media graphics to amplify the campaign's reach.
